After a two week layoff after injuring my foot, I’m back to running again. The run went well with no pain in my foot. I probably could have started running last week, but I wanted to give my foot plenty of time to heal. I tried to take this run as easy as I could while maintaining a 10-minute pace. It was harder than I wanted it to be, but I finished at a 9:55 pace.
I’m still running in shorts here in West Texas, but the weather man said tomorrow will be the last warm day for a while; the temperature the next three days is supposed to be 83°, 55°, and 43°, respectively. I may finally have to wear pants, which means I’ll need to find some reflective gear to wear since the reflective ankle bracelets I’ve been wearing probably won’t work well with pants.
Stats: 4mi in 39:40 @ 9:55 pace

Welcome back! That had to be hard, not running. But it sounds like you’re back just in time for the cooler temps.
Way to get back out there. As Joe said, it must be frustrating to not be able to get out and run.
Yeah, it was hard not running, especially since I’ve started following your blogs and seeing you two log runs on what seemed like every day of the week (I know you didn’t, but it felt like it). I kinda felt like a panz, but I knew the smart thing to do was stay off of it and take it easy for a few days. You guys didn’t make it easy!! ;-p
